SVN

It was for sure time, to set up some reasonable source code repository, other then daily tar backups of my local sources. So from now on, the sources are hosted in a SVN repository at:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/janus-uae/

So now I don't need this blog any more, you can watch the sources yourself ;).

You could perhaps still post some screenshots here every now and then?

That would be nice to see the progress :-)

@alanwall:

From where did you try to download:
- sourceforge.net
- aminet
- aros-archives?

I heavily doubt, that the google hint was a problem of janus-uae. Much more likely google rated the page, you got it from, as "malware" site.

Try to download it from one of the others sites and google won't complain.

AFAIR there was a problem with aros-exec.org beeing infected with some bad stuff. As it is up again, this should be fixed already.

Don't restrain yourself from posting here! People are getting more and more excited about AROS, it's apps and AmigaOS integrated emulation.

IcAROS is stiring things up, with amibridge, but true E-UAE integration is bound to catch everyone's eyes. And already this is becoming noticeable.

So keep the Comm's line open here...
we'll be checking now and then! ;)

I have several problems/questions
First,I can not get on the net to browse/check mail. I checked the prefs and they seem to be right.
I even set the protect bit to E
using AmiKit !
I have tried to ftp to my local host and that does not even work.I tried adding/setting up every thing with the right info/click save BUT it does not save.Open DirOpus to the ftp config and try to edit but nada :(
Ideas ?
I am an old time Amiga user and run AmiKit/Amiga Forever/ and AmigaSys with no problems ! I am also the founder of AmiWest and sure would like to get this running by the next show !
Thanks !

One other thing,is it possible to edit the VmPlayer/ICAros start window ?
The reason for this, is that I run Windows in a 1024x768 screen and the default for IcAros is 1024 and I never seem to have time to pick 800x600 :(
Thanks !

@alanwall:

Simple answer: There is no bsdsocket.library for j-uae under AROS, so there is no way to get online. As this is not part of the bounty, it will have to wait at least until the bounty is done. But of course, everybody can help here ;).

For your second comment, I am not responsible for Icaros, I have not even used it at all, sorry. Please contact Paolo for that.

@Alanwall: you'd be happy to know that yes, you can edit your grub.cfg file in order to choose a different resolution at startup. How? Reading the manual I wrote and provided in a PDF file, both in extras:Manuals and in the same dir of icaros VE files.

Paolo, seeing how Icaros has agg,have you contacted Carl about
porting Rebol/View to it ?
I know Amiga 3.9 has no agg support
and not sure about 4.1
Many things in Rebol/View require agg and sure would be nice.1 guy wrote a clone of DPaint in ebol/View and works great on a pc. If you need to,I can send him a private message. I worked for him for a week updating his 3000 so Holger could use when he worked there
